Rules
Our servers are built for fair play. By joining, you accept these rules that help keep order and a comfortable environment. Read them to avoid misunderstandings and support a healthy community.
1. General information
- 1.1. Not knowing the rules does not exempt you from responsibility. By joining a server, you automatically agree to all rules below.
- 1.2. A player may be banned based on evidence from another project without additional checks.
- 1.3. The administration chooses penalties based on the severity of the violation and the circumstances.
- 1.4. The administration does not compensate in-game items lost due to your mistake, server/hosting technical issues, game bugs, or contact with rule breakers.
- 1.5. You are responsible for all your accounts. If you are banned on an old account, you will be banned on a new one as well. This applies to server bans and EAC bans.
- 1.6. Administrators and moderators may ban a player without warning or explanation if they have evidence of a rule violation.
2. Gameplay
- 2.1. You may not use, store, purchase, or distribute third-party software or any other means that give an advantage over other players.
- 2.2. Using cheater services is prohibited.
- 2.3. Exploiting bugs to gain an advantage over other players is prohibited, whether intentional or not.
- 2.4. You may not exceed the team size limit shown in the server name, for example Solo, Duo, or Trio.
- 2.4.1. Alliances or truces with neighbors are prohibited if the total number of players exceeds the server limit in the name.
- 2.4.2. Joint raids, anti-raids, or kills with other players are prohibited if the total participants exceed the server limit. For example, on a solo server, teaming with another player to attack or kill a third player is a violation.
- 2.4.3. Cooperating with other players in any way is prohibited if your team is already at the maximum size.
- 2.4.4. Frequently swapping teammates will be treated as a team limit violation.
- 2.4.5. You may not play with another player while your teammate is AFK or not nearby.
- 2.4.6. Temporarily swapping teammates is prohibited if your main teammate continues playing with you.
- 2.5. Selling or buying (or attempting to sell or buy) in-game items for real money is prohibited.
- 2.6. Scamming other players during trades and similar in-game interactions is not prohibited.
3. In-game chat
- 3.1. Links in chat to third-party services, websites, and servers are prohibited.
- 3.2. Flooding (repeating meaningless phrases or symbols) or sending the same messages repeatedly in a short time is prohibited.
- 3.3. Encouraging actions that cause an unwanted disconnect is prohibited, for example pressing Alt+F4, typing disconnect in the console, or similar actions other players may not understand.
- 3.4. The administration may mute a player in chat for inappropriate or disrespectful behavior toward other players or the project.
- 3.5. Impersonating an Administrator, Moderator, or checker is prohibited.
4. PC checks
- 4.1. Checks are conducted remotely by authorized representatives of the Administration using communication channels agreed with the player (for example, voice or video calls, screen sharing, or messaging). The specific method and procedure are communicated when you are summoned.
- 4.2. Check summons are issued only via an on-screen notice, never via voice or text chat.
- 4.3. If a player leaves the server, provides incorrect contact details, ignores a check, or refuses it, and later asks for a PC scan after a ban, the request will be denied.
- 4.4. Cleaning your PC before or during a check is prohibited, as is keeping scripts to wipe RegEdit, LastActivity, Prefetch, Recent, or other system data. Checkers may ban you for traces of cleaning or such scripts on your device.
- 4.5. Refusing to provide information required for a check or behaving inappropriately may result in a ban for evading a check.
- 4.6. If a player is banned as a result of a check (including refusal, ignoring, disconnecting, or incorrect contact details), the ban may apply to their entire team.
- You may refuse a check, but we will then ban you on all project servers.
- Leaving the server, providing incorrect contact details, or ignoring a check also counts as refusal.
- You allow installing third-party tools required for the check (AnyDesk/RustDesk, RustCheatCheck, LastActivityView).
- You allow checking your PC, social networks, and email for third-party software or evidence of obtaining it.
- We undertake to keep your personal information confidential and not disclose it. Any information unrelated to RUST or project rule violations will not be stored or shared.
Unban requests
